Service Description

Mini Picassos welcomes kids at the level where they are at. This 8 week session brings together introduction to art, an exploration of art materials, with a light introduction to design and design thinking. Art prompts will build students' understanding of the elements of art and the principles of art. There will be a combination of solo projects (with step by step direction) and community projects throughout the course. Students will be introduced to design and design thinking methodologies modeled from Stanford's d.school. The small class sizes allow for the maximum individual attention needed to foster self expression, creative thought, and problem solving skills. All materials are provided and recommend wearing 'art clothes' as not all materials wash out. The purpose of this class will be to have fun, explore and learn something new!
